Paragon Level Farming

So you’ve managed to reach Level 60, acquired an awesome Hellfire Ring, and socketed your shiny new Helm with a Radiant Star Ruby. Problem is…after 50 hours of farming, you’re still only Paragon Level 10 and wondering what you did wrong.

Maximizing your experience yields in Diablo III is not as easy as you might think. It’s not enough to know which zones have the highest monster density. You must also learn how to obtain five stacks of Nephalem Valor in the shortest period of time, and how to minimize travel time. Ideally, you’ll want to spend significantly more time slaying the demons of Sanctuary than backtracking or walking around aimlessly.

In this guide, we’ll take a look at a few proven faming routes, tell you why they work, and provide our own little spin on the most well-known routes. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

Diablo 3 Paragon Leveling

Paragon leveling, introduced in Patch 1.0.4, was Blizzard’s answer to those who criticized Diablo III’s lack of end-game content. It also addressed a common complaint regarding Magic Find (MF). See, up until that point, most players would swap in a second set of MF gear right before downing an Elite/Boss monster. The purpose of this was to obtain better loot. But the process proved arduous, and sometimes deadly. A re-imagining of the system seemed inevitable.

Diablo 3 Gold Secrets Guide
Diablo 3 Follower Guide

Although Followers aren’t exactly powerhouses in the DPS department, they still serve several useful purposes, especially when you’re playing solo. In all, you will recruit three different followers throughout your journey in the world of Sanctuary: Kormac the Templar, Lyndon the Scoundrel and Eirena the Enchantress. While they can be plenty beneficial to your journey, they’re only going to be a burden if you don’t equip and build them properly.

First things first, of course; it’s important to know which follower works best for your class…

Diablo 3 RMAH

Undoubtedly, the biggest news about Diablo III prior to launching was the inclusion of a second auction house that would use real money instead of gold to purchase some of the best items found in the game. This might sound like an easy way to quickly get some cash in your pocket if you’ve been playing for awhile; stockpiling some crafting mats, nice rares and Legendaries, but there are some things to take into consideration beforehand.

Jay Wilson Fuck That Loser

In response to the heated comment he made on Facebook regarding David Brevik’s criticism of D3 and Blizzard’s dev team (see below), Jay Wilson addressed the Diablo 3 community today with an official apology. The apology itself was a class act – with Jay demonstrating a lot of humility – but even better were the comments that went along with it.

In his forum post, Jay commented on some of the glaring flaws and weaknesses of the game in its current state. He also reassured the community that the development team is far from satisfied with the game in its current state, and they will continually work at getting it to where it needs to be.

This is good news.

Diablo 3 MacBook Pro Retina Display

“Mac gaming” has been long considered an oxymoron, but Apple just announced at their recent WWDC, that Blizzard intends to roll out a retina-display-compatible version of Diablo 3 soon after the launch of the new MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Pro – with the 15.4 inch display – will boast a 2880 x 1800 display, with a pixel density of 220 pixels per inch.

Diablo 3 is going to look incredible on the new MacBook, but sadly, those of us hoping for a new iMac retina refresh will have to wait until next year. Apple has no plans of refreshing the iMac or Mac Pro until 2013.
