Fresh on the heels of StarCraft 2, and just before the dawn of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, BlizzCon 2010 is going to be chock-full of Blizzard goodness. In addition to the loads of SC2 and WoW features, expect this year’s BlizzCon to feature a massive unveiling of Diablo 3 news and announcements.

BlizzCon 2010 Highlights

Highlights of this year’s BlizzCon include:
- The opening ceremony
- Exclusive on-stage media presentations, including the winners of this year’s BlizzCon 2010 fan art, original song, and movie contests.
- The Development Stage – Featuring first hand insight into the development of Blizzard games, presented by a panel of Blizzard developers.
- BlizzCon e-sports tournaments, featuring casual as well as hard-core competitive tournament gaming. BlizzCon 2010 will also play host to the StarCraft 2, Warcraft III, and World of Warcraft Global Finals.
- Hands-on playtime with current and upcoming Blizzard games.
- Dance and Costume Contests – These events are one of the highlights of BlizzCon, attracting some of the most creative and outrageous Blizzard fans from across the globe. This year’s dance and costume contest will be hosted by comedian Jay Mohr.
- The closing concert – Blizzard has yet to announce who the special guest(s) will be this year, but you can be sure that Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftan will be bringing their special brand of heavy metal to this year’s stage.
- Attendees will receive an exclusive goodie bag chock full of exciting swag, including this year’s exclusive BlizzCon in-game pet… “Deathy”, the murlocalyptic Murloc companion. Deathy will be available for use in both World of Warcraft and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
