The mighty Blizz has just announced the dates for this year’s BlizzCon. This year’s event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday, November 7th & Saturday, November 8th.
Tickets for BlizzCon 2014 will be going on sale starting Wednesday, May 7th at 7pm PST for the first batch, with the second batch of sales happening on Saturday, May 7th at 10am PST. Tickets are $199 each, not including taxes and fees.
Along with the regular event tickets, Blizzard will also be offering a limited number of tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon 2014 Children’s Hospital of Orange County benefit dinner. Those tickets are going for $750 each (BlizzCon 2014 admission included).
This year’s BlizzCon will no doubt be a gala event, considering its going to mark the 20th anniversary of the WarCraft franchise, along with the 10 year anniversary for World of WarCraft. This may not be a huge draw for a lot of Diablo players who aren’t down for WoW, but I’m sure there will also be some exciting D3 news unveiled as well. If not within the next 6 months, let’s hope there’s an announcement of a new Diablo 3 major PvP patch forthcoming. 🙂
November may be a little too soon for talking about the next Diablo 3 x-pac, but you never know.
If you’re thinking of attending this year’s BlizzCon, be sure you’re on the ball for one of those mentioned on-sale dates. These tickets sell out FAST, and despite BlizzCon 2014’s higher price, I’m sure this year’s event will sell out faster than any before it.
Tickets will be on sale through EventBrite.
In addition, there will also be a Virtual Ticket announcement at some point for those that want to watch the coverage, but can’t make it to the event. I’ve purchased the PPV event 3 of the last 4 years and it’s a great value at only around $30 or $40 (can’t recall the price exactly), plus you still get the BlizzCon exclusive WoW pet and other digital goodies they offer. Pictured at right are the Diablo 3 banner decorations that were gifted with last year’s PPV.
This year, though, I’m going to try and make the trek down to Anaheim. 😀 Hope to see you there!
