Despite all of the awesome tangible goods that are in the Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition (see full list of D3 CE goodies here), the items that are arguably the most desired are the exclusive in-game items.
Here’s a listing of the pixel candy that’s contained in the Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition…
Please note that the exclusive items contained in the Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition are account-bound – meaning you cannot sell them – in game or out. The Diablo 3 CE contains a license key which unlocks all of these items and awards them to your Battle.net account. Therefore, you cannot sell your WoW Fetish Shaman pet on ebay – if that’s something you were thinking of doing. 😉
Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition Glowing Angel Wings
Owners of the collector’s edition will be granted a pair of glowing angel wings for all of their characters – including all future Diablo 3 characters. These wings are totally epic, and look very similar to the ones Tyrael has sprouting from his back.
These exclusive wings cannot be traded or sold. However, they can be destroyed if you need to free up inventory space. If you ever decide you want them back, all you’ll need to do is create a new character and mule it over to your toon via the shared stash. The same goes for the other exclusive CE in-game items.
Exclusive Banner
I’m not sure what this looks like, but it is exclusive, so I’m betting it’s super mega frickin’ cool.
Bottled Cloud and Bottled Smoke Dyes
The Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition rewards players with two exclusive types of armor dye – Bottled Cloud and Bottled Smoke. Again, I’m not sure what these look like when applied, but you can bet that the effect will be nothing short of awesome.
As noted in a subsequent post, dyed items will not retain the effect if listed on the auction house. However, you can trade items dyed with this exclusive stuff, or any other dye for that matter.
WoW Fetish Shaman Pet & StarCraft II Battle.net Portraits
The CE also contains a couple of other goodies for WoW and SCII players, including a Fetish Shaman WoW companion pet and some SCII chat avatars.
