Blizzard has done away with Scrolls of Town Portal and Scrolls of Identify in Diablo 3. Instead, the Town Portal ability can now be learned, and right out of the gates, characters have the ability to identify items simply by right-clicking on them.
Town Portal in Diablo 3
The Town Portal ability is awarded upon completion of the, “A Shattered Crown”, quest – where you remove the Skeleton King’s crown from the altar in Chancellor Eamon’s Tomb. This quest is typically completed by around level 6 or 7.

The Chancellor gets a little huffy about you wanting to take the Skeleton King’s crown, so you must defeat him first. He’s not much of a challenge, but to make things easier, be sure to clear the room in front of the altar before you click on it – otherwise you’ll be battling the Chancellor and all of the skeletons in the room, at the same time.
One thing that’s interesting to note… Chancellor Eamon sounds an awful lot like Bill Nighy. Check it out.
Identifying Items in Diablo 3
Instead of having to tote around a bunch of Scrolls of Identify, or popping back into town every time you need Deckard Cain to examine one of your drops, you can now easily identify items yourself. Characters now have the inherent ability to identify rare, legendary and set items, simply by right-clicking on them. Right clicking an item starts a short cast timer, then…Bam! Your item is identified!

Unidentified items have a question mark over the item’s icon, which is removed after the item is identified.
There are no coolodowns on either the Town Portal or Identify Item abilities.
Ahm, thats nice, i dont like carrying them asscrolls anyways…
