With the advent of Salvaging in Diablo 3, as well as the perceived increase in the value of gold, it was suggested in the battle.net forums that perhaps Diablo 3 should include some sort of auto-pickup feature for loot. Bashiok just made an interesting post on the Diablo III forums. It seems the devs have posted a shot of their "Monster Wall" on Twitter. Glow effect on dungeon entrances
Seems the Blizzard devs are quite pleased with the effect they've achieved in Diablo 3 which highlights dungeon entrances and exit areas. Apparently they've managed to implement an indicator that is subtle, yet awesome.
